To choose your Victoria pineapple, favor the fairground markets in Reunion or the stores specializing in fruit and vegetables in mainland France. Opt for a pineapple not too ripe, with a color pronounced yellow and one strong scent. Be careful, the color can sometimes be deceiving, rely instead on its scent. As for its conservation, 2 to 3 days at room temperature are recommended

Cut your Victoria Pineapple

Cutting a pineapple requires some expertise. At Arrangé Blard, we do it in an artisanal way. Here are our tips:

  • Remove the crown and the bottom part of the pineapple. 
  • Remove the skin using a sharp knife.
  • Remove the eyes following the diagonals of the fruit. 
  • Slice the pineapple into circles, then cut them into thin strips.

Essential ingredients

For a Pineapple Arranged Rum Victoria successful, you will need the following ingredients: 

  • 1 Pineapple Victoria Of the reunion 
  • 1 Bourbon vanilla pod from Reunion Island 
  • 1 white rum from Reunion Island 
  • A sweet touch: brown sugar, honey, syrup
  • Spices of your choice

Assembly and maceration

Assemble the ingredients according to your preferences and leave to macerate your Arranged Rum during at least 3 months for optimal results.

Noticed : Victoria Pineapple Arranged Rum is a fruity arranged rum, it therefore has a higher sugar content and it is therefore appropriate to readjust the amount of sugar incorporated into the mixture.


This delicious fruity rum can be enjoyed at room temperature or frosted according to your preferences. 

  • As an aperitif, you can accompany it with savory appetizers, such as samosas, savory toast, fresh verrines, etc.
